Torpedo Factory: Natalie + Erik's Jewel-Toned Wedding Day

Natalie + Erik were married at The Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA this October and it was such a special wedding! Natalie wanted a beautiful jewel-toned reception space with soft lighting, rich purple and deep blue florals, and lots of candles and Erik was excited for the pie bar from Livin' the Pie Life.

They got ready at nearby at The Alexandrian and traveled around beautiful Old Town Alexandria before arriving at the venue. Berkeley from Flower Gal Co created a stunning backdrop for the ceremony along with lush garland centerpieces, while Main Event Catering effortlessly transformed the space from working art studio to a romantic reception.

After a quick ceremony, cocktail hour kicked off on the top floor and guests were able to grab dumplings and take a walking tour of the resident artists' space. The couple took some time to sneak off for a private moment to enjoy cocktails and appetizers (which I highly recommend!), before joining their guests for their first dance. My Dee Jay kept the crowd dancing all night long, and Tom Tran Photography provided these beautiful images.

6 UNIQUE MOMENTS + DETAILS FROM THE BIG DAY

  1. The first look was so cute- the look on both of their faces was priceless! (see below)

  2. Natalie's dad made all of the signage for the wedding, including their welcome sign, bar signs, and even their table numbers.

  3. All. The. Pies- they had at least 4 different pies to choose from and they were all incredible!

  4. The color palette was stunning and Natalie used one of her favorite paintings as her inspiration.

  5. The couple had plushies of themselves and their adorable Shiba, Yuki, as part of their welcome table.

  6. They had dumplings during cocktail hour, a nod to Natalie's background, complete with to-go containers and chopsticks- their guests LOVED it!

Reach out to The Torpedo Factory to schedule a tour of their unique space- it is perfect for couples who are looking for an industrial venue with an artistic flair!
